Gervonta Davis

Professional boxer Gervonta Davis was reportedly arrested on the morning of Friday, July 11 in Miami Beach over an alleged domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his children.

According to TMZ Sports, the arrest stems from an alleged altercation that occurred on Father’s Day, June 15, around 9PM. Police had reportedly been searching for Davis since then, and a license plate reader ultimately helped authorities locate and arrest him.

The alleged victim claims the incident occurred while Gervonta Davis was picking up their children from her residence. A verbal disagreement between the two allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation. She told police that Gervonta Davis struck her in the back of the head and slapped her in the face, resulting in a visible laceration.

Earlier this week, Davis took to social media to criticize the outcome of his recent fight with Lamont Roach Jr., which ended in a draw. He tweeted:

“They took the fight from me and made it a draw becuz I did that bulls**t knee… but I landed the most punches in the fight.. he didn’t even hit me w a punch when I took the knee. I get it though, I shouldn’t have done that but that hair grease was burning my eyes!”

As this latest legal case develops, fans and observers are closely watching how it might impact both Davis’s boxing career and personal life, especially given his rising profile and prior controversies.
