Nigerian singer, Lekan Osifeso Jr., popularly known as Lojay, has addressed speculations surrounding his relationship with Folashade Adeleke, daughter of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
In a recent interview, the Falling crooner dismissed claims of a romantic affair, stressing that his connection with Folashade—who is also a cousin to Afrobeats superstar Davido—is strictly platonic.
Lojay described her as one of his closest friends and a key part of his inner circle but made it clear there is no romantic involvement.
He said:
“Fola is literally my best friend. From the very first day I met her, I just knew she was different. She’s the only woman in the 30BG crew, and she holds it down for everybody. Since then, we just clicked and have been good friends ever since.”
The singer further revealed that he is not ready to commit to a relationship at the moment, explaining that he is focused on personal growth and healing from past experiences.
“Unfortunately for me, I’m not ready for a relationship yet. Some people assume that means you’re messing around, but that’s not my reality. Sometimes, people genuinely need time to heal from past experiences, and that’s where I am right now,” Lojay added.
