Nigerian singer Shallipopi has surprised a fan with the sum of ₦1 million after a lighthearted request for lunch money.
The incident occurred on X (formerly Twitter), where a fan identified as Adémola jokingly pleaded with the singer for cash to buy food.
To the shock of many, Shallipopi not only responded but also fulfilled the request in grand style by crediting him with ₦1m through PalmPay.
The excited fan later shared a screenshot of the successful transaction, sparking a wide range of reactions online.
Fans have since praised the singer’s generosity, while others jokingly expressed their readiness to “try their luck” with similar requests.
