Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé has been awarded the European Golden Boot for the 2024/2025 season, marking the first time he has claimed the prestigious honour.
The Golden Boot is presented annually to Europe’s top goal scorer, determined through a points-based system that assigns greater value to goals scored in highly competitive leagues.
Mbappé, in his debut La Liga campaign, netted 31 goals for Los Blancos, a feat that earned him the top scorer title across Europe.
“It’s a pleasure for me to win the Golden Boot,” Mbappé said.
“It’s an important moment for me, the first time I win this prize. It means a lot to me as a forward.”
The French star has continued his remarkable form this season, with 11 goals in La Liga and five in the UEFA Champions League, further cementing his reputation as one of football’s elite finishers.
