NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who is currently in a relationship with rapper Cardi B, has been confirmed as the father of Instagram model Aileen Lopera’s child, according to a statement from Lopera’s legal team.
The Fashion Nova ambassador filed a paternity suit against Stefon Diggs in December 2024, seeking to establish legal and physical custody of her child and requesting that the football player be granted only visitation rights.
“The paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Lopera’s lawyer told Page Six.
“Now that the child’s paternity has been established and Mr. Diggs has acknowledged his daughter, my client hopes they can work toward being great parents to their child.”
While paternity has now been legally verified, Lopera’s attorney noted that the case remains active and “will move forward if the parties are not able to resolve it themselves.”
In her original court filing, Lopera also asked that Stefon Diggs cover her pregnancy and birth expenses, in addition to her legal fees. She gave birth to a baby girl in April 2025.
Stefon Diggs, in his July response, had requested a genetic test to confirm the child’s parentage, saying he was “not certain” of being the father. He also stated that, if proven to be the biological parent, he would seek joint legal and physical custodyand a shared responsibility for expenses and legal costs.
The paternity confirmation now comes as Diggs prepares to welcome another child — a baby boy — with Cardi B, marking a new chapter in the athlete’s high-profile personal life.
