EPL: “Nobody Wins the Title in November” – Guardiola warns Arsenal

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has played down concerns about his team’s Premier League title hopes, insisting that the championship race is far from over despite Arsenal’s early lead.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of City’s Super Sunday clash with Liverpool, Guardiola emphasized that the title cannot be decided this early in the season.

City currently sit six points behind league leaders Arsenal, and the Spanish tactician is determined to keep his side in contention before the upcoming international break.

When asked about Arsenal’s form, Guardiola acknowledged the Gunners’ impressive run but maintained confidence in his own squad’s ability to close the gap.

“If they continue to play games and not concede goals, it will be almost impossible,” Guardiola admitted. “Always you expect that you can be better and they will drop points. All we can do is win our games and get closer.”

The City boss also praised Arsenal’s growth and consistency over recent seasons.

“The last two or three years, after the process to rebuild the club and the team, they are there. It is exceptional what they are doing for two or three seasons,” he said.

However, Guardiola was quick to remind reporters that the title race remains wide open.

“But it is early November,” he stressed. “Nobody wins the title in early November. You can lose it – but nobody wins it.”

City will be hoping to deliver a strong performance against Liverpool as they look to narrow the gap and build momentum in their quest for a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League crown.
