Controversial street-hop singer Portable, born Habeeb Okikiola, has announced plans to return to school to manage his music career and business ventures better.

Sharing the news on Instagram on Saturday, the Zazoo Zeh crooner said his decision was driven by a desire to understand his music royalties, contracts, and label operations more effectively.

“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation,” Portable explained.

He added that going back to school is not just about earning another certificate but about gaining the skills to run his growing music empire professionally.

“Going back to school will help me manage my career and earnings correctly. The move is not just about acquiring another certificate, but about gaining the skills needed to run my music empire like a seasoned entrepreneur,” he said.

Portable, who shot to fame with his 2021 hit single Zazoo Zeh featuring Olamide and Poco Lee, noted that music success goes beyond making hit songs.

“Being an artiste isn’t just about making hits, but also about understanding the business side of music,” he said.

The Zeh Nation boss, known for his energetic personality and street credibility, reiterated that his focus now is on education, structure, and sustainable growth in his music career.

“I want to go back to school to manage my career better,” Portable concluded.
