Tonto Dikeh Celebrates pens heartfelt birthday

Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has spoken candidly about her past relationships, insisting that she harbours no regrets despite the challenges she faced.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress reflected on her previous relationships, describing them as defining experiences that shaped her personal growth.

According to Tonto, her first relationship brought her immeasurable joy through the birth of her son, whom she described as the most beautiful boy in the world. She noted that the experience, though imperfect, gave her a priceless gift she will always cherish.

Her second relationship, she explained, taught her hard lessons about love, trust, and human nature. Tonto said the experience opened her eyes to the reality that even when someone appears loving, they may still harbour negative intentions.

While admitting that she might not make the same choices if given another chance, the actress stressed that she does not regret those relationships because she consciously entered them and learned from the outcomes.

“Honestly, I have only regretted one thing in my life, but my relationships—no,” she said. “My first relationship gave me the most beautiful boy in the whole world. The second one taught me that even if you show me true love, you can still be the devil.”

Tonto added that although she may not have chosen the same path if she could turn back time, she believes regret is unnecessary because the experiences contributed to her growth.

“I don’t think I have a right to regret what I went through because I put myself there. All I have to do is to grow, learn, and move on,” she stated.

The actress also described herself as someone who is often underestimated, suggesting that many people do not fully understand her capabilities. According to her, the time has come for her to reveal her true strength and potential.

“People should be afraid of me because I am a very underestimated person. People don’t know what I can do, and it’s time to show them what I can do,” she said.

Tonto Dikeh’s remarks have since sparked conversations online, with many applauding her honesty and resilience in addressing deeply personal aspects of her life.
