Gloria Anozie-Young (born February 4, 1967, 58 years old) is from Abia State, Nigeria.
Gloria Anozie-Young is fortunate to have been raised in a loving and supportive family. In Lagos, where she was brought up, she attended Fountain School in Surulere for her primary education and Methodist Girls’ High School in Yaba for her secondary education.
Afterward, she pursued her studies at the University of Dallas in the U.S., where she graduated with a degree in Mass Communication. Then she returned to Nigeria in 1987 with a clear vision for the world and many fresh ideas for her storytelling.
Career
Gloria Anozie-Young later moved to the entertainment section and received early recognition through the Charly Boy Show.
In 1994, she featured as Doris in Glamour Girls, which was a text for the whole 90s era of the movie industry, and the film that really brought her to the limelight, and that was the very moment her career took off.
She has played different roles in more than 70 movies. Her prominent roles include Back to Life, Half of a Yellow Sun, The Wedding Party, and the 2022 Showmax series Diiche, in which she won many hearts with her tragic yet touching portrayal of a bereaved mother.
