The Super Eagles have received the house allocations promised to them following their runners-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, CREBHILLS reports.
The documents were presented to the players on Monday night in Fès, Morocco, by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, alongside other top sports officials.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had earlier pledged the houses to the Super Eagles on their return to Nigeria after the AFCON tournament in Côte d’Ivoire. The players were also honoured with the national award of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
Nigeria narrowly lost 2-1 to host nation Côte d’Ivoire in the final played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.
The fulfilment of the pledge is expected to further boost the morale of the Super Eagles as they begin their quest for a fourth AFCON title against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on Tuesday.
