Taylor Swift Gifts Chiefs Stadium Worker $600 Tip On Christmas Day

Taylor Swift Gives Entire Eras Tour Crew $55 Million In Bonuses

Pop star Taylor Swift has reportedly surprised a stadium employee at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Christmas Day game with a generous $600 (£444) tip.

Swift, who is engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, caught Arrowhead Stadium worker Robyn Gentry off guard by thanking her for working on Christmas Day and placing six $100 (£74) bills in her hand.

Sharing her experience on the Taylor Swift’s Vault Facebook group, Gentry posted photos of the tip alongside a framed $100 bill she kept as a souvenir of the moment.

“She was running around telling everyone merry Christmas and came towards me, saying thank you so much for working on Christmas, please take this, Merry Christmas,” she recalled. “My mind just froze. Of course I said Merry Christmas and thank you so much.

“Travis and her were smiling so big and just kept saying merry Christmas, thank you for working Christmas but then they were gone and I stopped to look at what was in my hand…. $600. My whole paycheck for two weeks.”

Gentry revealed that she “immediately started crying,” explaining that she had just spent a similar amount on Christmas gifts for eight children. She said she decided to frame one of the bills to remember the gesture and has not yet used the remaining money.

“I wanted to share the story with people who will appreciate it with me,” she added. “Taylor and Travis are beautifully kind people. Its very true, incredible and very kind people (sic).”

Taylor Swift has long been known for her generosity. In a recent episode of her Disney+ tour docuseries, The End of an Era, the singer reportedly rewarded everyone working on The Eras Tour, from dancers to truck drivers, with bonuses totaling $197 million (£146 million).

The Christmas Day clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos ended in defeat for Kelce and his teammates. The game has also fueled speculation that it may have been Kelce’s final home appearance at Arrowhead Stadium.

Addressing retirement rumors after the match, Kelce said, “I’ll let that be a decision I’ll make with my family, friends, the Chiefs organisation when the time comes.”
