Chelsea Football Club have reached an agreement with Enzo Maresca to part company with immediate effect.
The decision follows growing internal tensions over the past 24 to 48 hours, which ultimately led to the breakdown of the working relationship between both parties.
An official statement from the club is expected shortly to confirm the separation and outline next steps.
Chelsea are now set to begin the process of appointing a new manager as they look to stabilise the team and move forward.
Statement from Chelsea on Enzo Maresca leaving the club: “During his time at the Club, Enzo led the team to success in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.”
“Those achievements will remain an important part of the Club’s recent history, and we thank him for his contributions to the Club.”
“With key objectives still to play for across four competitions including qualification for Champions League football, Enzo and the Club believe a change gives the team the best chance of getting the season back on track.” “We wish Enzo well for the future.”
