Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has stirred fresh drama after publicly declaring that only one woman holds the title of his wife, insisting that all other women he has children with are merely baby mamas.
The declaration was made in a video shared by the singer a day after the New Year. In the clip, Portable was seen in a heated exchange with some women, one of whom appeared to be angrily tugging at his shirt as tensions flared.
Amid the confrontation, the Zazoo Zeh crooner made it clear that his relationship status had changed with the new year. He stated that moving forward, he recognises only Bewaji as his lawful wife, while distancing himself from any marital claims by other women he had been intimate with in the past.
According to Portable, 2026 marks a turning point in his personal life, stressing that Bewaji alone holds the position of his wife, while the rest are simply mothers of his children.
“2026, it is one wife, baby mamas. Bewaji is my only wife, the rest of you are baby mamas,” he said.
