Fetty Wap Released From Prison After Early Discharge

American Rapper, Fetty Wap charged with drug trafficking in the united states.

American rapper Fetty Wap has been released from prison after serving more than three years of a six-year sentence for federal drug offences.

The Trap Queen hitmaker, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, secured an early release on Thursday, nearly 11 months ahead of his scheduled release date in December 2026.

Confirming the development, Billboard quoted representatives of the rapper as saying he had regained his freedom. Fetty Wap also shared a statement expressing gratitude to his supporters for standing by him throughout his incarceration.

He said his immediate focus is on giving back through his community initiatives and foundation, with plans to support at-risk children by expanding access to education, early technology skills, and vision care, helping young people reach their full potential.

The New Jersey-born artiste was arrested in October 2021 in Queens, New York, shortly before he was scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud NYC festival. Federal prosecutors alleged that he was involved in transporting large quantities of drugs from California to New York for distribution.

In August 2022, Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine. He was subsequently sentenced to six years in prison in May 2023.
