Daniel Stern, the actor widely known for his role as Marv in the Home Alone film series, has been criminally charged following his arrest last month in California.
According to court records cited by the Daily Mail, the 68-year-old was charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly soliciting prostitution. Stern is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday, although prosecutors say his lawyer will likely appear on his behalf.
Reports indicate that Stern was cited by police after an incident at a hotel in Camarillo, California. He was not taken into custody or photographed but was instead issued a citation at the scene.
The charge comes several months after the actor was hospitalised in October due to a medical emergency at his home. Stern was later discharged and confirmed that he was in good health.
In recent years, Daniel Stern has largely stepped away from Hollywood and now lives on a farm, where he focuses on growing tangerines.
