Ify Okafor, a Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom, has publicly accused actress Nancy Isime and former beauty queen Sylvia Nduka of allegedly contributing to the collapse of her marriage to businessman Chinedu Nwobodo, the owner of Circa Lagos.
In a lengthy post shared on her Facebook page, Okafor—who is from Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State—alleged that her former husband repeatedly cheated during their marriage, including periods when they were still legally and traditionally married.
According to her account, the alleged relationships with Isime and Nduka caused deep emotional pain, shame, and unrest in her home. She claimed the repeated infidelity, combined with what she described as violence and sustained emotional pressure, gradually destroyed the marriage and left her mentally and emotionally drained.
Okafor further alleged that her former husband’s conduct extended beyond infidelity. She accused him of physical attacks, emotional abuse, threats, and controlling behaviour throughout the marriage, which she said made her life unsafe and unstable.
She also claimed that last year, during a period of serious illness, her ex-husband abandoned her and their three children. According to her, she repeatedly sought his help—not out of unwillingness to work, but due to her health challenges and the responsibility of caring for the children alone.
Okafor added that each time she and the children began to recover and stabilise, her former husband would allegedly return and trigger fresh problems. She said this pattern occurred both while they were in Nigeria and later in the United Kingdom.
While in Nigeria, she alleged that he often refused to contribute consistently to the children’s upkeep, or would agree to provide support only to stop without notice.
At the time of reporting, neither Nancy Isime nor Sylvia Nduka has issued a public response to the allegations. The claims remain allegations, and no court determination has been made regarding the accusations raised in the Facebook post.
