DJ and content creator Cyan Boujee, real name Honour Zuma, has stunned fans and event organisers after announcing that she will no longer accept DJ bookings until October 2026.
The rising star made the announcement via her DJ bookings Instagram page, sharing a bold poster that read simply: “Bookings are closed until October.” The post was later followed by a detailed explanation from her management team, clarifying the decision.
According to the statement, Cyan Boujee’s calendar will remain shut to new bookings for the next eight months, following an intense run of back-to-back gigs during the festive season.
“Please note Cyan’s booking management will not be accepting any new bookings until festive season. Any current flyers or appearances posted are for events confirmed last year,” the statement read.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you again very soon.”
Sources close to her team explained that the decision was also made to give other DJs a chance, after Cyan Boujee dominated bookings throughout the festive period.
Back in December 2025, the 24-year-old had already hinted at just how demanding her schedule was, releasing a packed gig guide that ran from November 2025 to January 2026. The schedule showed performances almost every other day across multiple provinces.
Her December run alone included stops at TM Lifestyle in Rustenburg, KOKO Lounge in Secunda, Maunde City in Mabopane, BLVD 16 in Mamelodi, Pizza Sunday in Thembisa, Kwa-Mhlanga Plan B Lounge, and Public House Pub — among several others. She later capped the festive season with appearances at Makarapa Day in Limpopo and the LeeMCrazy One Man Show.
While the announcement came as a disappointment to some fans and promoters, many supporters have praised the move, describing it as a necessary pause after months of nonstop work.
With her DJ calendar now officially on hold, Cyan Boujee appears focused on rest, balance, and longevity — leaving fans counting down to her return behind the decks in October 2026.
