Stefon Diggs appeared in court on Friday, February 13, for his arraignment over allegations that he assaulted his personal chef, entering a not guilty plea just days after featuring in Super Bowl LX.
The 32-year-old wide receiver stood before a judge at Dedham District Court alongside his legal team, where he formally denied claims that he assaulted the woman in December 2025.
After the brief hearing, Mitchell Schuster, a member of Stefon Diggs’ legal team, spoke to reporters outside the courthouse and rejected the allegations. “We’re confident that after the facts and evidence are reviewed in this case, he will be completely exonerated,” Schuster said.
The case stems from accusations made by Stefon Diggs’ personal chef, who alleged that he slapped her and attempted to choke her during a dispute over payment on December 2, 2025.
According to her account, the disagreement began over money she believed she was owed. She claimed that following a text exchange about payment, Diggs entered her unlocked bedroom, where the confrontation escalated.
She alleged that he became angry, slapped her across the face, and then “tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck.”
The woman reported the incident to police on December 16. While she did not provide photographs of any injuries, she stated that she experienced redness on her upper chest.
A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for April 1. The court has ordered that Diggs have no contact with the alleged victim as the legal process continues.
