Jordan Ibe Charged After Airport Arrest

Former Liverpool F.C. and England Under-21 winger Jordan Ibe was reportedly arrested after landing at Luton Airport last month.

Ibe, who currently plays for Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Sofia, has been charged with alleged actual bodily harm relating to an incident said to have taken place on December 14, 2025. According to reports by The Sun, the 30-year-old was questioned by police and later released on bail. Jordan Ibe is due to appear before Croydon Magistrates’ Court on March 6.

A police spokesperson confirmed that Ibe was arrested at Luton Airport on January 30 and taken into custody in connection with the alleged assault.

The winger had reportedly returned from Bulgaria to attend court in a separate matter. In November, he joined Lokomotiv Sofia after a brief spell with Sittingbourne F.C., where he spent just 17 days. He is yet to make his competitive debut for the Bulgarian club.

Jordan Ibe previously commanded a club-record £15 million transfer fee when AFC Bournemouth signed him from Liverpool in 2016.

His move abroad marks the 11th club of his professional career. In 2021, Ibe publicly revealed that he had struggled with depression for four years, speaking openly about his mental health challenges.

In a statement at the time of his signing, Lokomotiv Sofia expressed confidence that the winger could revive his career, wishing him health, happiness and success with the club.
