Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma has opened up about the pressure and stigma many divorced women face in society.
In a heartfelt message shared to mark International Women’s Day, the actress reflected on how divorced women are often made to feel like they are the problem or expected to carry the burden of failed marriages alone.
According to Caroline, society frequently places unfair expectations on women after divorce.
She recalled a moment when someone advised her to stop posting pictures of her children online because it could scare away a potential partner.
Her response, however, was firm.
“Let the little boy RUN. I am good,” she said.
The actress proudly stated that she is the mother of three children aged 18, 17, and 11, adding that she will never hide her children or trade motherhood for anyone’s approval.
Caroline also expressed appreciation for the role her children’s father continues to play in their lives.
Reflecting on her journey as a parent, she said motherhood has shaped the woman she has become today.
“Motherhood shaped me into the woman I am today,” she wrote.
“It taught me love beyond understanding, resilience without losing myself, forgiveness, strength, and grace. Being called a mother is one of the greatest honours of my life.”
Using the occasion of International Women’s Day, the actress encouraged women to embrace motherhood proudly and reject societal pressure that tries to diminish their worth.
According to her, motherhood is not a limitation but a powerful legacy.
“God trusted me to shepherd three beautiful souls through life. I am blessed beyond words. We are conquerors.”
