Controversial singer Portable has stirred fresh reactions online after appearing to throw indirect shade at one of his baby mamas, actress Ashabi Simple, during a video shared on his Instagram story.
In the clip, Portable celebrated his newborn son’s naming ceremony while also making comments that many social media users interpreted as targeting someone in his circle.
According to the singer, he was grateful that God “saved” him from a woman he accused of inappropriate behavior while pretending to work in the movie industry.
“Today is my baby’s naming ceremony,” he said while praising his wife, Bewaji.
Portable added that Bewaji “has no competition” before making remarks about a woman he questioned about activities he alleged were under the guise of acting.
Although he did not directly mention any name, online reactions quickly linked the comments to Ashabi because of her involvement in Nollywood and her previously public relationship drama with the singer.
Portable also expressed gratitude that he did not lose his family or home because of the situation.
