Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has dismissed rumors of tension between herself and fellow reality star Beauty Tukura following online reactions linked to the ongoing situation involving Ilebaye Odiniya.
Speculation began after Phyna posted comments many social media users believed were indirect shots at someone allegedly seeking praise online during the public concern surrounding Ilebaye’s domestic abuse incident.
Because Beauty had received widespread praise for publicly supporting Ilebaye and updating fans about her safety, some users assumed Phyna’s comments were directed at her.
However, Phyna has now publicly denied any conflict.
In a message shared on X, she clarified that she and Beauty had already spoken privately and agreed that the main focus should remain on Ilebaye’s well-being and pursuit of justice.
“Let’s not divert why we are here, there is no beef anywhere,” Phyna wrote.
“I and Beauty have spoken, and clearly we understand that she is not entirely safe yet. Please let’s focus on how to get justice for Baye.”
She also added that she personally understands the pain involved because of her own experiences.
“I know this pain, I’ve been through it,” she said.
The clarification comes amid a long and complicated public history between Phyna and Beauty.
Their relationship became strained after events during the BBNaija Level Up season, particularly involving fellow housemate Groovy.
Tensions reportedly escalated after Beauty’s disqualification from the show and Phyna’s later relationship with Groovy inside the house.
Over time, both reality stars exchanged subtle and direct shades online, with clashes occasionally resurfacing during interviews, social media debates, and public appearances.
At one point, the rivalry extended beyond Nigeria after both personalities reportedly exchanged words during a Pepsi-sponsored trip to South Africa.
Beauty had also previously mocked the N100 million prize Phyna won from the reality show, describing it as “chicken change” to her.
Meanwhile, Phyna had, on several occasions, accused people of unfairly criticizing her for actions others later repeated without backlash.
Despite their history, there have also been moments suggesting reconciliation or maturity between the pair.
In 2023, many fans were surprised after Phyna publicly celebrated Beauty on her birthday, a move that generated mixed reactions online.
Now, amid concerns surrounding Ilebaye’s safety following the domestic abuse incident that recently sparked national attention, both women appear to be putting past issues aside.
