Reports are currently circulating that Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has died at the age of 40 after an alleged prolonged illness.
Multiple Nigerian media platforms, including Punch, Vanguard, Daily Post, and The Sun, have published reports claiming the actor passed away, while some colleagues have also reportedly posted tributes online.
According to the reports, Alexx Ekubo had reportedly been battling health complications privately over the past year and had largely stayed away from social media and public appearances.
However, as of now, there has not yet been a detailed official statement released by his family directly confirming the cause of death.
Alexx Ekubo, born Alexx Ekubo Okwaraeke, became one of Nollywood’s most recognizable actors through films such as Weekend Getaway, The Bling Lagosians, and A Sunday Affair. He was also known for his fashion presence and television appearances across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
