“I am actually scared of getting married” – Tolanibaj Reveals the Only Reason She Would Consider Settling Down

Tolanibaj

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality Tolanibaj has opened up about her thoughts on marriage, admitting that walking down the aisle isn’t something she’s particularly excited about.

The reality TV star made the surprising confession while discussing relationships, revealing that marriage currently intimidates her despite the pressure many women face to settle down.

According to Tolanibaj, the only thing that could convince her to get married is finding a man who genuinely takes care of her and gives her the peace of mind she’s been longing for.

“I am actually scared of getting married. The only reason I’m going to consider getting married is so I can rest,” she said.

Explaining what she meant, Tolanibaj joked that after years of taking care of herself, she looks forward to being with someone who would make her life easier rather than adding more responsibilities.

She added that she is “just a girl” who wants to be loved, protected, and cared for by the right partner.

Rather than rushing into marriage because of societal expectations, the reality star said she would only commit to someone who makes her feel safe, secure, and genuinely supported.

Her comments have since sparked conversations online, with many social media users sharing different opinions about modern relationships and what marriage should represent.

While some agreed that marriage should provide companionship, support, and emotional security, others argued that both partners should be equally committed to caring for each other.

Tolanibaj has never hidden her opinions on dating and relationships.

Over the years, the media personality has frequently spoken about self-worth, standards, and the importance of choosing the right partner instead of rushing into marriage because of age or public pressure.

Her latest remarks also reflect a growing conversation among young women who believe marriage should be built on peace, partnership, and emotional security rather than simply fulfilling societal expectations.

Although she admitted that marriage scares her, Tolanibaj made it clear that she hasn’t ruled it out completely.

For her, saying “I do” will only happen when she meets someone willing to love her, support her, and create the kind of relationship where she can finally feel comfortable enough to let her guard down.

Until then, the reality star appears content focusing on herself while waiting for a relationship that offers more than just a wedding ceremony.
