“Don’t Ignore Red Flags From Your Future In-Laws” – Toolz Advises Couples Planning to Marry

Media personality Toolz has advised people preparing for marriage not to overlook how they are treated by their future in-laws, warning that strained relationships with a partner’s family can create long-term challenges in marriage.

Speaking during a recent episode of The Morayo Show, Toolz said anyone whose prospective parents-in-law clearly dislike them should take it as a serious warning sign rather than assuming things will improve after the wedding.

‘Don’t even try it’

According to Toolz, the attitude of a future father-in-law and mother-in-law can significantly influence the success of a marriage.

“If you’re not married and you meet your potential father-in-law and mother-in-law and they really don’t like you, don’t even try it.”

She noted that many people dismiss such situations during courtship, believing love alone will overcome family tensions.

‘It’s a big deal’

The media personality stressed that ignoring those warning signs can lead to lasting problems after marriage.

“Some people get into that situation and think it’s not a big deal. Well, it’s a big deal.”

Praises her husband’s family

Reflecting on her own marriage, Toolz described her husband’s family as supportive and welcoming, saying they have played a positive role throughout their relationship.

She said she considers herself fortunate to have in-laws who have treated her well over the years.

‘Marriage is not easy’

Toolz, who has been married for more than a decade, also spoke candidly about the realities of married life, saying every long-term marriage requires patience, commitment and perseverance.

Anybody married for more than 10 years knows it’s not easy because they’ve worked through many things, especially those moments when you begin to question why you’re even in the marriage.”

Her comments have sparked online conversations, with many agreeing that a healthy relationship with in-laws can contribute to a more stable marriage. In contrast, others argue that couples should ultimately prioritise their own relationship over family dynamics.
