Reality TV personality Tommie Lee has found herself back in the spotlight after being arrested during a FIFA World Cup match in Miami over allegations that she attempted to enter the stadium without a valid ticket.
The former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star was taken into custody during Saturday’s England vs Norway clash at Hard Rock Stadium. This incident has since led to her latest mugshot circulating across social media.
According to reports, Lee was arrested after authorities accused her of entering a restricted area of the stadium in an attempt to gain access to the highly anticipated fixture.
An arrest report alleges that the reality star made her way through an unauthorised section of the venue before she was intercepted by security personnel.
As a result, she was booked on a third-degree felony charge of interference with a sporting or entertainment event.
Despite the allegation, Lee has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The incident reportedly occurred during the July 11 match, which attracted more than 60,000 spectators as England defeated Norway 2-1 to book a place in the tournament’s semifinals.
Authorities said Lee was not the only person detained during the event. Reports indicate that six people were arrested during the match. At the same time, an additional 19 spectators were ejected from the stadium for various incidents.
The arrest has also brought renewed attention to the reality star, whose newly released mugshot quickly began circulating online after news of the incident.
Known for her outspoken personality and headline-making moments, Tommie Lee has faced several legal issues over the years, making her latest arrest another addition to a long list of public controversies.
As of the time of writing, Lee has not publicly commented on the allegations or addressed the circumstances surrounding her arrest.
With the case now before the courts, the reality star will have an opportunity to challenge the allegations as legal proceedings continue. Until then, she remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
