Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Burna Boy quits Twitter due to Nigerians behavior on the social media platform.

Twitter is a social media platforms that many celebrity has turned into a new

home as they tend to communicate with their fans globally as well as entertaining


However, Burna Boy has noted that he will be quiting the platform after coming under

the microscope in recent days.

Recall that Burna Boy was earlier in the news for trolling Reekado Banks who

asked for a rap battle as he noted that the ‘Put in pressure’ crooner is not a worthy


However, Nigerians on Twitter came hard on Burna Boy as they slammed him for making such comment about Reekado Banks.

With the topic still trending on social media, Burna Boy via a post has stated that

it’s high time he quits Twitter because Nigerians can’t handle his realness.

He tweeted:

It’s not surprising that Burna Boy quits Twitter as he has been under the

microscope ever since he lost the Grammy Award to Angelique Kidjo earlier this year.

The ‘Gbona‘ crooner some months ago raised eyebrows on social media when he

stated that nobody paved way for him in the industry.

Burna Boy was dragged by fans on Twitter for making such statement however he insisted that nobody except from his family members and Fela Kuti paved way for him.

He will however be hoping his decision to quit the social media platform where most

artiste tend to build their brand will not affect his quest of becoming the best

artiste Nigeria has ever seen.
