American singer and rapper Doja Cat has tested positive for COVID-19 days after she downplayed the risk of the virus by claiming it’s fake.
Doja made this known while speaking with Capital XTRA noting that she had
symptoms that lasted for a few days and blamed the food delivery app Postmates
for contracting the virus.
“I got COVID. Honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it, but I got it,”
Doja, whose real name is Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini, said. “I’m okay now.
It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now.”
During an Instagram Live, at the start of the pandemic, Doja Cat compared COVID-19 to
the flu and seemingly shamed people who were taking precautions against the virus.
She said;
“Bit**, I’m not scared of a coronavirus or the motherf***ing beer version of that s**t.”
“I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona cos I don’t give a f*** about corona, b****. It’s a flu. I’m not scared. Y’all are p****.”
“You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep — that’s all you gotta do. Y’all are so scared of some damn corona. Y’all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona.”
