The Federal Government of Nigeria to about to order the total closure of the popular third mainland bridge.
The federal government knows the brigde serves as a link from the main land to the island of Lagos.
This closure which is to take place at the end of the month, July 24th.
What makes is that there is other alternatives route to the island.
Many might think it is due for maintenance for long.
Although there have been subsequent repairs and maintenance on the bridge.
But the period of this closure will make the Federal Government to fully maintain the bridge.
It is clear that before the engineers and repairers could move to site, there must be proper traffic management.
With the way Lagos state residents are rugged, they need to manage and find alternatives for traffic.
It seems funny why they want to start the repairs and maintenance now.
When there was months of lock down.
It was evident that the material needed for the repairs just arrived the country.
The rapairs and maintenance will start at the tail end.
Starting from the mainland, the engineers will make sure the bridge works well.
