Veteran Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede have called out the executive Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai over the killings happening in the state.
Southern Kaduna have become a torrid place for citizens in the past few days as
at least 27 people were reportedly killed within a 24-hour period between 19 and
20 July in attacks by armed assailants of Fulani ethnicity on communities.
On 20 July approximately nine people were killed and an unknown number were injured
and displaced following an attack on Gora Gan village in Zangon Kataf Local
Government Area (LGA).
With killings still going in the state, Yvonne Jegede took to her official Instagram Page
to call out the Governor of the state over the situation of things.
Devastated by the development, Yvonne Jegede urged Nasir El-Rufai to try and
resolve the issue before the issue escalate more than it has.
With innocent souls being killed on a daily basis, Yvonne Jegede noted that the
killings have been ongoing for so long and it’s high time the Governor put an end to
this so as to protect life and property of citizens of the state.
Yvonne Jegede also urged top celebrities to speak up on the issue adding that
people of the state need them more than ever.
