Multiple award-winning afropop singer and songwriter Wizkid have noted that he is not a big fan of awards, a statement that might raise eyebrows among fans of good music.
The Nigeria music industry have become one of the most competitive industry in the world
with the country boasting of talented singers, songwriters, music producers as well as music executives.
This generation have been blessed with top artists like Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Burna Boy,
Mr Eazi, Dbanj and a whole lot of other stars who have continue to show the world how
blessed Africans especially Nigerians are.
With the year coming to an end, Awards are being given out to artists who have had
an outstanding performance ever since the year began and Wizkid have become
one of the most recognised artists in Africa.
However, the ‘Ginger’ crooner while speaking with popular American media personality
Naomi Campbell, noted that he is not a fan of any award show.
Wizkid who seems to be speaking about the prestigious Grammy Award noted that
award show does not define who the artists is as it’s just a company coming together to give awards.
