Early Life
Simisola Bolatito Kosoko (born April 19, 1988, 37 years old) is from Ondo State, but was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, by her parents, Mr and Mrs Ogunleye. She grew up mostly with her mum and her sibling, the last of four children.
Educational Background
She attended Stars International College, a secondary school in Ikorodu, Lagos State. She is an alumnus of Covenant University, where she studied Mass Communication.
Career
She signed to the X3M record label in 2014, after which she released her hit single, JAMB Question, which launched her on a path to greatness. Many Nigerians accepted the song, and her fan base grew massively.
After five years with the X3M record label, she released many hit singles and two albums, Simisola (2017) and Omo Charlie Champagne Vol 1 (2019).
In May 2019, X3M Music announced the departure of Simisola Ogunleye, one of its recording artists, following the expiration of her recording contract.
The Lagos-based label confirmed in a statement signed by A&R executive Vincent Nwanze that both parties have determined not to renew the contract.
Her special voice, unassuming look, and writing talent attracted her to X3M when she was signed in 2014.
Her debut album for X3M (her second career) was released in September 2017 to local and international acclaim and was named album of the year in 2018 by The Headies Awards.

Her record label, Studio Brat, was launched in June 2019. Under her new label, she released her hit single Duduke in April 2020.
In January 2022, the music video for the song Duduke achieved over 50 million YouTube streams.
Since launching her record label, her first work was an EP titled Restless II, released in October 2020 in partnership with a UK-based music distribution company called PLATOON, owned by Apple.

Relationship
In January 2019, she and her long-time boyfriend, Adekunle Gold, finally married at an all-white beachside ceremony; just 300 guests attended the ceremony.
Sharing an old picture of Simi, Adekunle Gold revealed that he met Simi at one of her shows and made sure he got there early to sit in the front row after watching her perform. That day, he knew he wanted to be in her life.
