FC Barcelona’s Former President, Josep Bartomeu was arrested this morning at his home by the Spanish police.
The arrest is reportedly in relation to the “Barcagate” scandal in which the club allegedly hired a social media company to publicly discredit players and staff.
According to reports, He played a big role in the BarçaGate scandal. Jaume Masferrer has also been arrested.
Others arrested, includes Òscar Grau and Romà Gómez.

Recall that in December 2020 after over 16,000 valid votes by the socios of the club were counted, Bartomeu and his board members were forced to resign.
He has been deemed as the worst President ever leaving one of the best football clubs in the world in a debt of over 400 million euros.
