Chelsea has defeated Manchester City to win the 2020/21 Champions League.
The blues came into the match as underdogs with Manchester City given the edge due to their triumph in the Premier League as well as in the league cup.
However, Chelsea put in a strong display to defeat the citizens with Kai Havertz scoring the decisive goal in the 42nd minutes.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City had the majority of the possession but couldn’t break through a Chelsea defence that was well organised by club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta.
Chelsea’s victory means they’ve now won the Champions League trophy on two different occasions with their first being the victory against Bayern Munich in 2012.
