Lionel Messi’s arrival at Paris Saint-Germain came just weeks after the French club confirmed the signature of Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid on a free transfer.
As if this was not enough surprise for the transfer window, reports of Ronaldo seeking a move from Juventus surfaced on the internet.
The Portuguese were willing to take up a new challenge elsewhere and Manchester City was tipped as the favourite to sign him.
However, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly called Ronaldo and the Portuguese forward decided to sign for the English club.
Manchester United via their official social media platforms announced the arrival of the Portuguese at Old Trafford 12 years after he left the club.
This move might come as a huge shock for football lovers as Cristiano Ronaldo was on the pitch for Juventus last weekend where he scored a last-minute goal that was disallowed by VAR.
