Essence by Wizkid and Tems has become the first Nigerian song to reach the billboard hot 100 as it seats at the 10th spot.
Essence has been making lots of airwaves, as many has said that the collaboration between the popular musician and the uprising artist is a match made in heaven.
The song which was first released in October 2020 as a track on Wizkid made in lagos which featured the singer Tems peaked at number one on the billboard world album chart ten months after it was released.
Between now and July, the original and the remix of the song, Essence, has topped billboards R&B/HIP-HOP Airplay chart and also reached a new peak of number 13 on the Hot 100 ealier this month.
Both artist are on tour in the US, as the song has gained both International and Local recognition.
