Amala and Ewedu are ridiculousy overhyped — Singer Johnny Drille rants on social media

Count on you singer, Johnny Drille seems not to be having it with one of Nigeria’s famous food delicacies called Amala and Ewedu. According to him, both Amala and Ewedu are ridiculously overrated.

Johnny Drille won’t be the first Nigerian or Nigerian Celebrities to take a Swap at the local sumptuous meal, But what we don’t know is if Johnny Drille ate Amala at the wrong place or at the wrong canteen in Lagos.

Àmàlà is a local indigenous Nigerian food, native to the Yoruba ethnic group in the western states of the country. It is made out of yam and/or cassava flour, or unripe plantain flour.

Yams are peeled, sliced, cleaned, dried and then blended into flour, also called èlùbọ́. Yams are white in colour but turn brown when dried. This gives àmàlà its colour.

Àmàlà is mostly consumed by the Yoruba people in Nigeria. Amala is native to indigenous people of the Southwestern part of Nigeria.

Another Nigeria Celebrity voicing out his opinion on social media, is Nigeria’s baddest boy, singer Skiibii who took to social media to reveal that he would be traveling to Ukraine to see the war for himself as he doesn’t believe the rumors of war.
