According to recent reports, Cristiano Ronaldo, the most decorated Portuguese footballer, and his wife Georgina Rodriguez have lost a newborn child.

According to a statement made by the footballer on his official and verified social media accounts, his wife gave birth to twins, a boy, and a girl, however, the boy did not survive and died.

Ronaldo stated that he is currently depressed, but that the twins’ sister’s survival gives him and his wife Georgina Rodriguez hope.

He also took advantage of the chance to express gratitude to the nurses and physicians who helped them feel better.

Cristiano Ronaldo appealed for privacy during this trying time in his life.
