‘I didn’t say that’ – Cristiano Ronaldo denies sending a message to Manchester United supporters
Cristiano Ronaldo has refuted claims that he promised fans “I’m not finished” after helping Manchester United defeat Brentford on Monday night, April 2.
During Man United’s 3-0 home win over Brentford, Ronaldo scored his 18th Premier League goal of the season by converting a 61st-minute penalty.
United are expected to miss out on Champions League qualification, and it’s been suggested that Ronaldo will look for a new club during the summer transfer window in order to avoid missing out on Champions League action.
However, following the final whistle on Monday, it appeared as though Ronaldo was indicating that he intended to stay at the club beyond this season.

After the game, Ronaldo took part in a lap of honour with the rest of his teammates to commemorate the Red Devils’ final home match of the 2021-22 season.
At one point, Ronaldo, 37, could be seen talking into the camera while walking.
A fan account on Instagram claimed that he said “I’m not finished” in a hint that he will see out the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.
But Ronaldo shut the rumour down, replying on the comment page; “I didn’t say that.”
