As Nigerians respond to the shocking news of the arrest of former Nigerian deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, Arise TV host Oseni Rufai has provided a clue as to what happened in the UK.
According to Oseni, they brought in a youngster they had promised a better life in order to harvest his kidney since Ekweremadus’ daughter required a kidney.
“Ekweremadu’s daughter needed a kidney, so he brought in a 15 year old homeless boy with illegally obtained passport stating that the boy was 21. The boy was promised a better life. The former deputy senate President has been denied bail,” he wrote on Twitter.
It was reported earlier reported that the couple were arrested in the United Kingdom over alleged human organ Harvesting.
According to Met Police Press Release, the Ekweremadus have been charged with conspiring to arrange the travel of a child into the UK in order to harvest organs.
“The charges follow an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime team.
