Vassilev lifts Inter Miami to 2-1 win over Minnesota United

Inter Miami CF defeated Minnesota United 2-1 on Saturday thanks to Indiana Vassilev, who came off the bench and scored twice in the closing three minutes of regulation.

In the 87th minute, Vassilev scored the equalizer for Inter Miami (6-7-3) after receiving a feed from Bryce Duke. In the 90th minute, he added the winning goal. For Vassilev, the goals marked his first of the year. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MATCH AND GOALS.

Minnesota United’s Luis Amarilla scored in the 65th minute to break the deadlock (5-8-3).



With an 8-1 advantage in shots on goal, Miami outshot Minnesota 16-10.


For Minnesota, Dayne St. Clair recorded six saves. Miami’s Drake Callender failed to make a save in the end.
