Chelsea star, Bakayoko finally leaves Stamford Bridge after 5 years

Tiemoue Bakayoko, a French star who has spent the past five years with Chelsea, is finally going to part ways with the club.

The summer will see the midfielder join French Ligue 1 club Marseille after reaching an agreement with the club.

The 27-year-old, who cost Chelsea £40 million when he joined from Monaco in 2017, was a significant acquisition.

However, the France international’s time at Stamford Bridge did not go as planned because things did not go as planned for him.

The Frenchman played 43 games for the Blues in all competitions, appearing 43 times overall, scoring three goals, and taking home the FA Cup.

His time at the club came to an end, and he hasn’t played for Chelsea since the 2017–18 campaign. Instead, he’s been on a series of loans.

He played on loan for AC Milan, Monaco, Napoli, and then AC Milan again, where he won the Serie A championship the previous season.

He is reportedly planning to leave West London permanently, according to the French publication Foot Mercato.

Additionally, he has a deal with Marseille.
