The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has begged Manchester United to let him leave if they receive a good deal, and Chelsea supporters are eagerly awaiting his addition to the team.

Remember that Chelsea’s new owner, Todd Boehly, met with Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, late in June to discuss a number of things, including the possibility of the Portuguese player joining the Blues.

Though there was no indication whether or not Thomas Tuchel’s side would be interested in the 37-year-old, the latest development has spawned high expectations and anticipations.

It is believed that Ronaldo’s decision to leave United is driven by the desire to play in the Champions League for the remainder of his career.
