Early Life
Jacqueline Acheampong (born on 16 December 1998, 27 years old), in Bompso, a town in Kumasi, Ghana. She is originally from Abuakwa, another village in Kumasi.
She is the child of Ernest Owoahene Nana Acheampong, a legendary musician from Ghana. The well-known band Lumba Brothers included her father as a member.
She attended primary school in Kumasi, Ghana, where she also finished her primary school. She then moved on to T.I. Amass for secondary school, graduating with a West African School Certificate.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in international business at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Career
Jackline Acheampong claims that Asa and Ghanaian musician Omar Sterling of R2Bees affected her. She began accompanying her father to the studio when she was eight. She finally decided to enter the Ghanaian music scene professionally in 2019.
She then released her debut single, “Love Is Pretty,” which was well-received by local radio and TV stations for a few weeks. She released her first E.P., named SEED, in August 2020.
The five-track E.P. demonstrated her experimentation with various sounds. On her track, Sor Mi Mu, she collaborated with prominent performer Bisa Kdei. She has also collaborated with Elom “E.L.” Adablah and Kuvie.
She has appeared at essential events in Ghana since her breakout, including Rapperholic, Tidal Rave, and Repu Hall Week.
