Martin Lawrence Says ‘Bad Boys 4’ Is Still Happening After Will Smith’s Oscars Slap

Martin Lawrence chuckles at the idea that the fourth section of the Bad Boys establishment might still be intact despite Will Smith’s slap of Chris Rock at the most recent Academy Awards.

The comic was adamant that the couple is contributing “at any rate” another portion during a chat with Essence. Although it’s unclear exactly when it will happen, Lawrence accepted the theory that the fourth movie won’t be released due of Smith’s currently sensational Oscars slap.

“We got one more in any event,” Lawrence tells the magazine.

Lawrence’s remarks come two months after The Hollywood Reporter announced that Netflix unobtrusively moved Smith’s Fast and Loose undertaking to the sideline. The power source detailed that a couple of different undertakings in preproduction were likewise logical headed that course.

Also, concerning Bad Boys 4, THR detailed that Sony had been in dynamic turn of events, to such an extent that Smith had previously gotten 40 pages of the content preceding the Oscars, yet, in wake of the questionable slap heard and seen ’round the world, the venture would stop.

But at the same time it’s not difficult to see the reason why Lawrence is unyielding that there’s “in any event” another portion coming. The initial three Bad Boys films have gotten more than $840 million in the cinematic world. The principal Bad Boys film was delivered in 1995 and the most recent portion, Bad Boys forever, hit venues in 2020, netting $426 million in the cinema world. That is more than the initial two movies netted joined ($141 million for Bad Boys and $273 million for Bad Boys II, separately).

As such, there’s truckload of cash on the line, and it appears like, for Lawrence, it’s anything but an issue of if however when.

With respect to Smith, a source told ET back in May that the King Richard star “has been going to treatment after the Oscars episode.”
