Super Falcons booked the 2024 Women’s World Cup ticket on Thursday after bagging a narrow win over rivals Cameroon in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Women’s African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
Atlético Madrid forward, Rasheedat Ajibade scored the winning goal for the 9-time African champions after the first 45 minutes ended goalless at the Muhammad V Stadium in Casablanca.
She scored the brilliant goal off Ifeoma Onumonu assist.
Her 56th minute header also saw the West Africans cruised into the semi-finals of the biannual competition.
Nigeria had now qualified for all Women’s World Cup tournaments and reached the top four of all WAFCON competitions.
Falcons who are the defending champions will face hosts, Morocco in the semi-finals clash.
