On Tuesday night, unknown terrorists heavily shelled the Kuje Medium Prison, confusing the entire regional Council.
Around 10.25 p.m., a high-capacity explosive detonated in the initial explosion. The residents fled into safety after a second and third blast, as well as occasional gunshots.
A security report had alerted prison officials a few hours earlier about potential threats on the medium facility.
