After losing her father, Vernon Winfrey, on Friday, Oprah Winfrey is mourning his loss. He was 88.
On Saturday, Oprah shared the depressing news on Instagram. Although the cause of death is currently unknown, it is known that Vernon had been ill for a considerable amount of time. The 68-year-old news magnate showed her father the right respect by uploading the video of the impromptu gathering she threw for him on July Fourth.
She subtitled the post, “Under seven days prior we respected my dad in his own patio. My companion and gospel vocalist Wintley Phipps showed respect to him with tune. He FELT the adoration and delighted in it until he could never again talk.”
“Recently with family encompassing his bedside I had the hallowed distinction of seeing the man answerable for my life, take his final gasp,” she proceeded. “We could feel Peace go into the room at his passing. That Peace actually stands. Everything is great. Much obliged to you for your requests and great contemplations 🙏🏾.”
Recently, Oprah shared that she shocked her dad with an exceptional get-together of his nearest loved ones. In a video posted on her Instagram – – and recorded by her dearest companion Gayle King – – Oprah advises her supporters that she believed the opportunity should commend her feeble dad, while he was as yet ready to appreciate it.
“Thus, I’ve been arranging a terrace grill that is in excess of a lawn grill, it’s for Vernon Winfrey Appreciation Day,” the famous host told the camera as King recorded her as she remained before a standard that read, “Vernon Winfrey Appreciation Day.”
“Since my dad is sick thus we needed to have the option to have every one of his companions come and celebrate him while he can get the delight, so that is the very thing we’re doing getting the delight.”
Oprah proceeded, “He doesn’t have the foggiest idea about this is for him. He believes it’s a Fourth of July thing he doesn’t actually know it’s for him.”
Vernon was a stylist and money manager in Nashville. He possessed Winfrey Barber and Beauty Shop for over 50 years. Oprah’s mother, Vernita Lee, kicked the bucket in 2018. She was 83
