Soso Soberekon, a talent manager and music executive, has shared his biggest regrets.
During a question-and-answer session with his followers, KCee’s old manager admitted that he wishes Patoranking and Teni had been signed.
He recalled how Okada from Ikorodu/Ebute Meta would frequently travel with Patoranking to meet him and bring his demo CD.
The singer of “Abule” would urge him to sign him, but he was unable to.
He now regrets his choice because Patoranking is far greater than the musician he signed.
WHY I DIDN’T SIGN PATORANKING & TENI WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE TO ESPECIALLY PATORANKING, HE WAS TAKING OKADA FROM IKORODU/EBUTE META TO MEET ME SEVERAL TIMES WITH HIS DEMO CD. BEGGING ME TO SIGN HIM BUT I COULDN’T SIGN HIM THEN, BUT LATER SIGNED SOMEONE ELSE THAT PATORANKING IS 100 TIMES BIGGER THAN TODAY”.
