Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has made headlines after donating ₦100,000 to Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, ahead of her upcoming 65th birthday on September 21, 2025.
Taking to his social media page, Soberekon revealed that the donation was made to support the First Lady’s charitable initiative.
Earlier, Mrs. Tinubu had appealed to well-wishers not to send her personal gifts or place birthday tributes in newspapers. Instead, she urged them to contribute towards a National Library project, an initiative that reflects her commitment to education and literacy development.
Soberekon backed his gesture with proof, sharing a screenshot of his debit alert and captioning it:
“Happy birthday to our 1st Lady.”
